About Me

I believe in the healing power of human connection.

There's something special about being heard.  It's more than just being listened to.  It's the sense you get when you share your story with someone who wants to truly understand you and support you in the ways that you most need.   It's the validation you feel when someone does their best to understand things from your point of view and within the context of your life experiences.

I graduated with my Masters of Social Work in 2009 and have been a practicing social worker ever since.  My career has been built upon a strong foundation of evidence-based research and interventions that provide real coping strategies and emotional support to my clients.  The modalities of treatment I most often utilize are psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral in orientation.  I also have received training in DBT therapy which can be extremely useful when working with postpartum and trauma related concerns.

I consider it to be an privilege to do the work I do with my clients and make it a priority to provide treatment that is targeted to their specific needs and concerns.  My philosophy is that mental health treatment should not be "one size fits all" but on the contrary is a deeply personal and unique experience for each person involved.

I look forward to working with you!
